Bonus special offer from Twilight Nanny
Twilight Nanny, Jo Ryder, is a sleep specialist with lots of experience working with multiples. Jo has kindly created an exclusive product for readers of Don’t Panic! A Practical Guide to Twins, Triplets and More. Her Virtual Sleep Nanny for Multiples package will help you comfort and soothe your babies to sleep so you can all get the rest you need.
What you get: You will get seven nights of virtual support, that includes Skype or Facetime chats, daily video messaging, action planning, tips, tricks and daily reviews. By the end of it you will be confident at settling your babies and will have set up structures that help everybody get the best night’s sleep possible using only comfort methods (no controlled crying or cry it out).
My experience of sleep (or lack of sleep) with multiples
We went through so many different sleep phases with our boys (even my first ever post on this blog was about sleep deprivation!) There were times I was so exhausted I put a jar of coffee in the fridge instead of the cupboard and threw food in the bin that was meant for the fridge. I even sprinkled coffee on my Cornflakes once! At times, lack of sleep felt physically painful. With multiples, it can feel like there is no downtime as you just get one baby to sleep when the other wakes up.
I wish I’d known Jo when I had my boys. Getting good, solid support – whether that’s from other parents of multiples or from a sleep specialist – is so important to your well-being. I know that Jo could have helped us get our sleep on track from the beginning while giving me the skills to tackle any future sleep problems. Unfortunately I only met her when my boys were three, by which point we’d gone through many difficult sleep phases without any help. Looking back, I feel like those foggy, endless days when I wasn’t getting enough sleep were wasted days. I could have used them to have fun with my babies instead of feeling like laying on the sofa all day (not that with multiples you can lay on the sofa all day even if you want to!!)
Babies don’t sleep through from birth, and they can’t be expected to, but Jo can help you put a simple structure in place that allows your babies to feel loved and safe, while encouraging them into good sleep patterns. Setting up sleep systems early can lay the foundations for good sleep for the future.
How I know Jo
Jo is genuinely is a great friend of mine. We met when my boys became friends with her son at pre-school. Not only does she have two children of her own, she has worked with many parents of multiples so she knows the unique challenges we face. I even referred my sister-in-law on to Jo when she was having sleep issues with my nephew – Jo has a rare gift of kindness and calmness that puts everyone at ease, not just the babies.
Whether you’re expecting multiples, have tiny newborns or toddlers full of beans, it doesn’t matter – Jo is experienced with all ages and she CAN help you get a restful night’s sleep and help you plan a routine that works for your family.
Virtual sleep nanny V a regular night nanny
Twilight Nanny’s ‘Virtual Sleep Nanny for Multiples’ package is great value as it’s much cheaper than paying for an on-site sleep nanny. It gives you so much support over a set period of time which makes a big difference. Plus the best thing about this is that YOU learn the tools to help your babies sleep better, so you can be confident in your own skills while being thoroughly supported by an experienced expert. With a night nanny, they would do everything and it would be great while they’re with you but what happens when they leave?
The Virtual Sleep Nanny for Multiples package is a one-off investment that could make the next few years of your life so much easier. And when you’ve got more than one baby, keeping things as simple as possible is the way to go. When you’re getting enough sleep, you really can tackle anything. (Maybe if I’d had Jo’s help I’d have written this book in a few months instead of it taking me five years!)
Twilight Nanny’s Virtual Sleep for Multiples can help with:
* setting up good sleep habits from day one
* getting into a routine that suits your family
* encouraging your babies to sleep through the night when they’re ready
* encouraging your babies to take the naps they need during the day
* breaking any sleep associations like only being rocked to sleep or waking for a dummy
* and ANYTHING else that you feel would help you all to sleep more soundly.
Twilight Nanny testimonials
Susanne called Jo for help when her six-month-old twins were waking in the night and feeding at least once, usually twice. Jo “was absolutely brilliant, always happy to answer any questions at any time and kept very clear records of what happened each night. It has made a huge difference to our family and we are very appreciative. I would definitely recommend her.”
Jo helped Claire’s eight-month-old twins to sleep through the night: “Jo was fantastic and the boys are sleeping through the night again and staying in their cots until we are ready to get them up for the day. It is wonderful and we are having such a lovely, relaxing time in the morning now. I felt total confidence in her from the beginning. She didn’t just get the boys sleeping better, she also restored my confidence. We are extremely grateful and would highly recommend Jo to anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation.”
After surviving on two to three hours sleep, Jo helped Lucy’s six week old twins to settle. Jo “has been wonderful and definitely exceeded my expectations – I now have twins who have a great night time routine and even sleep for reasonable periods of time! The twins were feeding every two hours and I was struggling to settle them both between feeds – it seemed as though they were never asleep at the same time. I also have a very lively three-year-old to look after and realised that I desperately needed some help. The huge benefit from my perspective was having Jo to advise and help establish an effective night time routine which worked for us (something we never really managed with our first son)… It was worth every penny and I would recommend it to any new mum.”

Disclaimer: I will receive an affiliate fee for referring clients to Jo via my book offer. Putting this special offer together with Jo has involved time and energy from both of us as it’s a bespoke package created especially for my book readers. It has been created after consultation with parents of multiples to deliver the exact sort of sleep support that they felt they’d have benefited from. Jo is somebody I know personally and we really are good friends. I don’t affiliate for people I don’t know and trust myself 🙂
