My boys are four! The ordinary moments #12

What to do with your pet when you move to Australia
The differences between raising singletons and twins

On Saturday my boys turned four.  As the kids have all had chicken pox this week we’ve been confined to the house for the whole of half term. It meant we had to cancel our plans to go to Paulton’s Park/Peppa Pig World and we haven’t been able to see any of their friends. Thankfully the boys were really excited at the idea of a  little family tea party at home for their birthday instead. They got some fantastic presents and we got to snuggle up and watch some movies together.

It’s not a great picture because we couldn’t get them to stay still for more than a couple of seconds but it sums up the excitement of a birthday when you’re four years old.

I actually think I preferred our quiet family weekend more than I would have enjoyed going out and about. I’m still in shock that my scrummy boys are four years old. How on earth did that happen?!

Ah happy birthday to your big boys! I hope they enjoyed their birthday and that they are all better now after their ordeal with the dreaded chickenpox.

Sorry to hear you have had chicken pox but lovely that you enjoyed your day even more. Some times it is the simple ones that are the best. Happy birthday to your boys. x

Wow 4! Amazing. Sorry to hear they were poorly but their birthday sounds pretty great all the same 🙂
