Positive thoughts for Multiple Mummy #Healing4Kerry

20/11/2012 | posted under: Ramblings

"At least you're done now..." When is your family complete?
Potty training twins: The saga continues with potty training regression

Since becoming immersed in Twitter, the thing I’ve found the most overwhelming is how the online community pulls together to  offer support in a crisis. People who have never met before manage to organise themselves to make a huge difference – whether it was the clean up after the riots or the hunt for a missing child. The blogging community is so close because we all chat, comment on each others blogs and meet up to eat cake together at events and training courses. I count many bloggers as friends, even though I haven’t met them all. Kerry who blogs at Multiple Mummy is one of those people. Like me she has twins and singleton, and hers was one of the first blogs I came across when I was considering setting up my own blog about my twins. Her twins are the same age as mine and it has been lovely following her blog as I can completely relate to everything she says.

In the summer, tragedy struck and Kerry suffered a ruptured aneurysm which led to a brain haemorrhage. Her recovery has been hampered by infections and she remains very poorly in hospital.

Amazingly, her husband is finding the time to look after their three children, visit Kerry in hospital AND keep her blog updated. This is so important to her online friends as we’re all hanging out for every piece of news about her health.

Liska from New Mum Online has come up with a way we can all show support for Kerry and her family. She has written a post about her idea on her blog.

Her idea is that on 24th November at 10pm the Twitter community will pull together to send out prayers,  positive thoughts, or just a few kinds words to Kerry and her family using the hashtag #Healing4Kerry.

If you are a blogger, please write a post about this and share the date from your Twitter account to your followers. Liska has also just added a lovely poem for Kerry which she would like people to post on their blogs on 24th November, or for those of you who know Kerry maybe you could share some memories of her and some photos. Let’s try to get strength in numbers.

We want to see Kerry back here blogging, where she belongs #Healing4Kerry

Oh this post is so beautiful. It is lovely when we make a connection with someone who has a similar life to ours as with you and Kerry. And she is such a beautiful warm hearted person. Thank you for getting involved. I really believe in the power of prayer, the power of positivity AND the power of meditation. Let’s hope we have all 3 going on on Saturday. There has been much research done over decades which has shown even in war torn countries or crime ridden countries that when people come together to pray or meditate the problems lessen for miles around and the positive effects linger. It’s been proven again and again, so I really think we can do some magic on Saturday. Feel free to add a link to your post to the linky at the bottom of mine. Crazy With Twins came up with the idea that then Multiple Daddy will be able to find them all.
While you are adding your link in the linky, you can “grab the code” which means you’ll have the linky list at the bottom of your post and people can “blog hop” to all the relevant posts without having to come to mine, to access the list. You can see the list at the bottom of Mummy from The Heart, and Crazy With Twins, and My Life My Son My way (Alice wrote the poem).

Thanks. xx I’ve added a final link to your blog post at the bottom of mine now as I can’t get the code as I’m on wordpress.com and it doesn’t allow it. I’ve added my link to your linky. Well done for pulling us all together like this. It would be lovely if she could be home for Christmas. xx

This is a great post. I love how you can see the love between Kerry and her husband. He is indeed a great man for all he is doing and I wish he could have his love back soon.

Don’t we all. Here’s hoping they get some good news soon. Thanks for the comment. xx
