Happy New Year (better late than never)!

09/01/2012 | posted under: Ramblings

Sleep deprivation is a form of torture (GroClock to the rescue?)
Hell is other people - or more precisely, other people's houses

I’ve been a bit quiet on here lately – Husband and I took off a whole three weeks to enjoy a very chilled out Christmas with family, and that involved me putting the laptop away for once (although I did still manage to sneak on Twitter on my phone a few times!)  During the holiday we also added a new addition to the family – a miniature labradoodle puppy called Ted! You can see some pictures of him on my Facebook page www.facebook.com/TalesofaTwinMum

For me the best bits of 2011 were:

1) Surviving the challenging toddler phase of 15 – 22 months. During this phase the boys seemed to get more and more naughty by the day, just as I seemed to get more and more exhausted. It was bloomin’ hard work, but if you’re going through it don’t worry, there is light at the end of the tunnel as around the age of two things start to get that little bit easier. Phew.

2) Starting this blog and meeting loads of lovely peeps through Twitter.  Who’d have thought a virtual community could be so supportive and fabulous?

3) Getting my head down and finally getting my book about multiples underway. I’ve been talking about writing a book about twins since the boys were born in 2009, but it was only during the summer of 2011 that I started to set myself some deadlines and got really stuck into it. I’ve now collected so much content from other parents and have written over 30,000 words so am really getting there at last.

4) Taking our first family holiday abroad, where we made some amazing memories. This was one of the best holidays I’ve ever had, even if it was the most exhausting!

2012 looks like it’s going to be a bright one for my family. All the best to you and yours for a prosperous year! Thanks for reading. xx
